Challenge Missions are a series of optional combat trials that allows players to test a specific character's combat abilities using Hero Cards. What makes Challenge Missions different from General Missions is the T.H.R.E.A.T. Room, and Trials are the types of rewards you can earn upon their completion.

Venom, like other playable characters, has a Challenge Mission, which is included in the paid Redemption DLC, and completing it earns you a new Skill card. This guide details defeating the Whispers of Memory and completing Venom's Brain Buffet Challenge Mission in Marvel's Midnight Suns.

Complete Venom's Brain Buffet Challenge Mission In Midnight Suns

With Eddie Brock / Venom becoming a playable character in Marvel's Midnight Suns' second, paid DLC, he's certainly out to redeem himself with the help of Spider-Man. Luckily, he can do so through the optional Challenge Mission, Brain Buffet, which tests the character's combative abilities.

But to unlock Venom's Challenge Mission, players must have completed the Forged in Hellfire Research project and begin upgrading the Armory. Additionally, you will have maxed out your friendship with Eddie for his Challenge Mission to be unlocked as the only other requirement.

When starting the "Brain Buffett" Challenge Mission, the primary objective is defeating the Incarnations of Memory, which allows you to obtain the Assimilation Skill card for Venom. You'll have During this Challenge Mission, you'll have limitless Card plays, but any redrawing of cards has been disabled as such.

Likewise, you won't be able to move Venom anywhere in the battle arena have been disabled, meaning Venom remains in a fixed location. Lastly, you can fail this Challenge Mission once the turn ends, or you have no more Cards to play.

You will utilize a default deck for this Challenge Mission, with the primary strategy first to target enemies with the Assimilation and Tasty Brains cards. We've outlined the best steps to defeat the Incarnations of Memory and complete the Challenge Mission:

  • Use the Lethal Embrace card to target the second Incarnation of Memory (from the left)
  • Play the Tendril Strike card on the fourth Incarnation of Memory and chain the attack to the third Incarnation of Memory
  • Use the Tendril Strike card again, but this time on the second Incarnation of Memory, and chain it to the first Incarnation of Memory.
  • On the first Incarnation of Memory, play the Web Toss+ card and move the direction of the Forceful Knockback aimed at the third and fourth Incarnation of Memory.
  • With the first Incarnation of Memory now vulnerable, play Spike Burst by moving the AoE to target the four Incarnations of Memory and KO'ing them to gain the Tasty Brains card.
  • With the remaining Incarnation of Memory left, play Insatiable Hunger and Tasty Brains on the enemy and K.O. them to acquire the Assimilation Skill card.
  • Play the Assimilation card before using the Tasty Brains and Lethal Embrace cards on the final two Incarnations of Memory to complete the objective.

    • This completes Venom's "Brain Buffet" Challenge Mission, where you can receive various rewards, including Credits, Gloss, a Legendary suit, and the Assimilation Skill card. This also completes the Lethal Protector Trophy/Achievement for completing Venom's Challenge Mission.
